Ceramic Coating

Gloss that holds up to salt air.

Paint correction followed by a hard ceramic layer that makes washing fast and keeps contamination from bonding.

What a coating does in Flagler County

Salt and sun

Living a mile or two from the ocean means salt film on the paint most mornings. A coating keeps it from bonding and makes rinsing it off quick.

Lovebugs and sap

May and September are rough. On coated paint, bug splatter softens and lifts with a pre-soak instead of etching the clear.

Hard water

Sprinkler and well water spotting is common on the west side. Coated paint and glass shed water instead of holding it.

How we do it

  1. Wash, iron and clay decontamination.
  2. Paint inspection under lights, then machine polishing to remove swirls and haze.
  3. Panel wipe so the coating bonds to bare clear coat.
  4. Coating applied panel by panel, leveled and left to cure indoors.
  5. Care walkthrough: what soap to use and what to avoid.

Ceramic coating questions

Does ceramic coating replace wax?

Yes. A coating lasts far longer than wax and gives a harder, slicker surface. You will still wash the car, just with less effort.

Does a coating stop rock chips?

No. A coating is thin and hard; it resists etching and makes cleaning easy, but it will not stop impact. That is what PPF is for.

Can you coat over PPF and tint?

We commonly coat over PPF. Coating the paint, wheels and glass together is a popular package.
