Anastasia Island sun, handled.

A1A, the bridges and beach parking all day. Tint, PPF and coatings built for that.

Motor yacht at a marina dock, Flagler Tint marine window tint

Built for island driving

Living on Anastasia Island means a lot of time on A1A Beach Boulevard and crossing the Bridge of Lions or the 312 bridge into town, often with the sun low over the water in the morning or late afternoon. Glare is the daily complaint, and it is where a good ceramic film on the side glass and a strip above the AS-1 line on the windshield make the most difference.

With the Matanzas River and the marinas around St. Augustine close by, boat owners ask us about marine window tint for cabins and salons as often as car owners ask about side glass.

Beach parking is the other one. A car sitting in a lot by the pier for an afternoon heats up fast. IR ceramic film keeps the cabin noticeably cooler without going darker than Florida allows on the front doors.

Salt, sand and rentals

Salt air

Ocean-side neighborhoods put a salt film on everything. A ceramic coating keeps it from bonding so a fresh-water rinse actually clears it.

Sand and A1A debris

Sand blowing across A1A and gravel from the shoulders chip the front end. Partial or full-front PPF takes the hit.

Family haulers

SUVs and vans can go to 6% behind the driver under Florida law, which helps keep kids and coolers out of direct sun.

St. Augustine Beach questions

How far is St. Augustine Beach from Flagler Tint?

Roughly a half-hour drive north on A1A or I-95 from Palm Coast, depending on traffic and where you start on Anastasia Island. Call and we will work out the appointment details with you.

Is Florida tint law different in St. Johns County?

No. Florida's tint limits are statewide: front side windows at least 28% light transmission, rear glass at least 15% on cars and 6% behind the driver on SUVs, trucks and vans.

What helps most with salt air near the beach?

A ceramic coating on paint, wheels and glass. Salt film rinses off coated surfaces instead of bonding to them.
